The Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD’s) National Security Network (NSN) is comprised of more than 300 mid-career national security practitioners who have completed FDD’s National Security Fellows Program (NSFP), the National Security Trip to Israel, and/or the Military Trip to Israel. Alumni enjoy year-round programming, which includes off-the-record dinner briefings with high-level policy influencers, opportunities to collaborate with their peers and FDD experts, and other exclusive events.
FDD sponsors a competitive 12-month National Security Fellows Program that seeks to support the aspirations of promising mid-career professionals by combining mentorship opportunities, skill-building workshops, and roundtable conversations with high-level experts. FDD’s National Security Trip to Israel is a seven day trip for D.C.-area professionals pursuing careers in national security and counterterrorism. The selected participants will be accompanied by FDD experts throughout the trip. Upon completion of the trip, participants become members of FDD’s National Security Network.
FDD organizes an annual Military Trip to Israel for active duty military personnel. Throughout the week, trip participants will travel around Israel to visit elite military installations, participate in meetings with high-level Israeli and American decision-makers, and take part in a counterterrorism training exercise with former Israeli Special Forces. Upon completion of the trip, participants will become members of FDD’s National Security Network.
