Shannon Walsh
Deputy Director of FDD's National Security Network
Biography
Shannon Walsh is deputy director of FDD’s National Security Network, which houses all of FDD’s mid-career professional development programming, national security trips to Israel, and the alumni network of 600+ national security practitioners. Shannon also manages a variety of projects for FDD’s Israel Program.
Before joining FDD, Shannon served as the associate director of research and education for The Philos Project, where she focused on developing seminars and educational resources highlighting the religious and geopolitical complexities of the Middle East. During her undergraduate studies, she interned in the U.S. House of Representatives, where her boss served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. She also participated in the Jewish National Fund’s Caravan for Democracy, a 10-day educational program for student leaders to explore Israel. Shannon holds a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University in political science with a concentration in international relations and minors in Spanish and management.
