IDF Eliminates Hezbollah Operatives, Destroys Hezbollah Infrastructure Above and Below Ground: On Wednesday, the IDF reported that troops from the 98th Division are continuing to operate in southern Lebanon, killing a large number of terrorists in ground combat and in airstrikes and locating and destroying Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure and weapons, both above and below ground. The troops have found a large quantity of weapons, including mortar shells, rocket launchers, grenades, guns, and anti-tank missiles aimed at communities in northern Israel. The Israeli Air Force, with intelligence guidance from the Northern Command, has struck more than 140 Hezbollah terror targets in the past day in more than 50 areas of Lebanon. The targets included terrorist squads, weapons depots, military buildings, and launchers aimed at Israel. In one case, a drone strike directed by soldiers from the 91st “Galilee” Regional Division eliminated terrorists who were firing at IDF troops. On Wednesday, IAF fighter jets, with guidance from Aman military intelligence, struck strategic Hezbollah weapons stored underground in the Beirut suburb of Dahieh, a Hezbollah stronghold. The IDF says that it took many steps before the attack to minimize harm to civilians, including providing them with warnings.
IDF’s 91st Division Destroys Radwan Underground Living Quarters Intended for ‘Conquest of the Galilee’ Plan: The IDF on Wednesday reported that the 91st “Galilee” Regional Division is continuing operations against Hezbollah terror infrastructure in southern Lebanon. Troops recently raided underground shafts and infrastructure that contained living quarters with equipment and found a large quantity of weapons in them. According to the IDF, this infrastructure was intended for use by members of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force as part of the group’s Conquest of the Galilee plan. The infrastructure was located under civilian homes in a village and was destroyed this morning by IDF troops. In addition, early on Wednesday, IAF fighter jets, in cooperation with the Northern Command, struck dozens of Hezbollah targets in the Nabatieh area in southern Lebanon, including command centers, weapons depots, and military buildings, which Hezbollah placed near civilian buildings in order to use the civilian population as human shields.
IDF Eliminates Hamas Drone Unit Commander in Gaza: The IDF announced on Wednesday that in operations in Gaza, an IAF drone, in coordination with the 454th Artillery Brigade, eliminated Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, the commander of Hamas’s drone unit in northern Gaza, who was in charge of firing drones toward Israel and at IDF soldiers. In Rafah in southern Gaza, Nahal Infantry Brigade soldiers, using attack drones, eliminated a squad of gunmen who were planning to attack them. In addition, troops from the 162nd Division, who have been operating in Jabalya in northern Gaza for more than a week, have killed dozens of terrorists in close encounters and in airstrikes, struck dozens of terror infrastructures, and found a large quantity of weapons. The IDF published footage of troops from the 162nd Division operating in Jabalya.
COGAT: 145 Aid Trucks Entered Gaza Yesterday; Polio Vaccination Campaign Continues: On Wednesday, COGAT, the Israeli entity coordinating humanitarian aid for Gaza, published an aid update for October 15, noting that 145 aid trucks entered Gaza yesterday through the Kerem Shalom and Erez crossings, carrying shelter equipment, baby formula, food, and hygiene products. In addition, six cooking gas tankers and nine fuel tankers for essential infrastructure entered Gaza. International organizations collected the contents of 32 trucks from the Gaza side of Kerem Shalom, and the contents of some 610 trucks are still awaiting collection. There are 12 bakeries operating in Gaza, eight in the south and four in the north. COGAT announced on Tuesday that since October 1, more than 9,000 tons of aid, including medical supplies, food, water, shelter equipment, and gas, have entered Gaza. It also announced on Tuesday that on the first day of the second round of the polio vaccination campaign in Gaza, 92,821 children under the age of 10 were vaccinated in central Gaza, and 76,394 children received vitamin A treatment.
