Biography

Ryan Wohl is a research associate at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies’ (FDD’s) Education and National Security team, where he conducts open-source intelligence (OSINT)-driven investigations to identify and expose malign influence operations targeting the U.S. education system. His work focuses on monitoring and analyzing threats to K-12 and higher education, including foreign funding streams, regulatory gaps, and extremist or ideological group activity. He also contributes to research related to sanctioning suspected extremist groups and individuals for potential terrorist designation.

Previously, Ryan interned with FDD’s Network Analysis team and the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism in Herzliya, Israel. Ryan holds a B.A. in international politics with a focus on national security studies from The Pennsylvania State University.
