Biography

Max Lesser is the senior analyst on emerging threats at FDD’s Center on Cyber and Technology Innovation. Max previously served as head of U.S. policy analysis and engagement at Darktrace Federal, where he analyzed and engaged with policy initiatives surrounding AI and cybersecurity. Max also previously supported the DISARM foundation, an organization that works to maintain, enhance, and support efforts to identify disinformation tactics and techniques. As a participant in the Atlantic Council Digital Forensic Research Lab’s Digital Sherlocks program, Max has developed investigative skills relevant for countering influence operations. Max has spearheaded research that won best paper at the International Forum on Digital and Democracy and has contributed to papers shared by the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency Industrial Control Systems Joint Working Group. His writing has also been published in Infosecurity Magazine. Max has a B.A. from Harvard.
