Kathy Helman

Kathy Helman is Vice President of Finance at FDD, where she manages all aspects of the daily accounting operations. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Maryland.

Prior to joining FDD, Kathy was a senior consultant with a boutique, women-owned, non-profit consulting firm. Since 1996, she has served not-for-profit organizations in many roles including controller and director of finance/administration, both as an employee and in an outsourced role. Her experience with non-profits ranges from small charities and trade association to large well-known NGOs. Over the course of her career, Kathy has worked on projects including business process improvement, business procedure documentation, accounting and donor system implementations, audit preparation, and on-going accounting operations. She also has developed staff training programs to help improve staff skill sets in targeted areas that would improve their knowledge base and create new efficiencies within organizations. 

Kathy holds an MBA in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and a BS from Miami University.
