Jake Shapiro

Jake Shapiro serves as the Director of Development for the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), bringing over a decade of experience in strategic development and relationship-building across the political, policy, and philanthropic landscapes. Based in South Florida, Jake’s network extends far beyond the region, encompassing a broad array of national and international connections.

Prior to joining FDD, Jake spent a year as Director of Development at JINSA (The Jewish Institute for National Security of America), where he advanced initiatives that strengthened U.S. national security and fostered deeper donor engagement. Earlier in his career, Jake spent eight years at AIPAC, focusing on major donor development in Florida. In this role, he successfully built and strengthened relationships with influential leaders and cultivated high-level support for AIPAC’s mission.

Originally from Maryland and an alumnus of American Jewish University in Los Angeles, Jake has dedicated his career to fostering impactful relationships to promote mission-driven organizations.
