Jack Burnham
Research Analyst
Biography
Jack Burnham is a research Analyst at FDD’s China Program. His research primarily focuses on China’s military, including emerging technologies, force posture, and strategic culture. He also conducts research and analyzes the role of innovative technology in changing the character of contemporary conflict.
Prior to joining FDD, Jack was a senior policy research analyst at the China Institute at the University of Alberta and a junior research fellow at the NATO Association of Canada. He earned an MPP from the Max Bell School of Public Policy at McGill University and a Bachelor of Arts Honors in Political Studies from Queen’s University.
Jack has published his analyses in The Conversation, SOAS University of London, Policy Options, and the Centre for International and Defence Policy. He has also authored and led several war-gaming exercises for senior government and private sector principals while at the China Institute.
