Angela Howard

Biography
Angela Howard serves as a research analyst with the Center on Economic and Financial Power (CEFP) at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
Angela is an expert in open-source intelligence and using quantitative, technical, and social sciences to inform strategic decision-making. Angela focuses on Russian internal political dynamics, security, and foreign relations.
Angela’s work has been featured in or referenced by a range of publications, including The Kyiv Independent, the International Journal of Urban Sciences, The Center for Naval Analyses, the Atlantic Council, and the International Journal of Intelligence and CounterIntelligence.
Angela holds an M.A. in international relations with a concentration in technology and innovation from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, where she was a Public Service Fellow. She also holds a B.S. in international affairs and Russian language with a minor in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she was a Stamps President’s Scholar. Angela is fluent in Russian and has technical expertise with mapping tools and multiple programming languages.
