460th Armored Brigade Fights in ‘Heart of Jabalya,’ Finds Weapons in UNRWA Bags Inside School: On Monday, the IDF published a report on fighting “in the heart of Jabalya” by the 460th Armored Brigade’s combat team with several infantry, armored, and engineering battalions. In the past few days, troops destroyed more than 100 terror infrastructures as well as Hamas compounds and tunnel shafts and found dozens of rockets, mortar shells, weapons, and explosives. During the operation, a terrorist who surrendered was interrogated by Unit 504 of the Aman Military Intelligence Directorate and provided information about weapons caches in the area. The troops then carried out a raid, finding communications devices, hand grenades, AK-47 rifles, barrel bombs, and more. Soldiers also engaged with terrorist squads who shot anti-tank missiles at them from inside a school, where the soldiers found dozens of weapons hidden in UNRWA bags.

IDF Troops Arrest Eight in Overnight West Bank Raids: The IDF carried out overnight raids throughout the West Bank, arresting eight people. In Burqa, inciting materials were confiscated and dozens of suspects were interrogated, while in Jelazoun, one suspect was arrested and troops seized materials intended to be used to produce explosives. In Kafr ‘Aqab, troops arrested another suspect, while in Samu, two more suspects were arrested and an M-16 rifle and other weapons were confiscated. In Harsa and Al-Dhahiriya, soldiers arrested two suspects and in Yatta, they found weapons. Troops arrested one suspect in Qalqilya, and in Dheisheh, another suspect was arrested and a large number of suspects were interrogated. Some 4,000 wanted persons have been arrested in the West Bank since the start of the war, about 1,700 of them members of Hamas.

Hezbollah Launches Fundraising Campaign for Purchase of Drones and Missiles: Hezbollah has launched a fundraising campaign on social media through its Islamic Resistance Support Association to raise money to purchase unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and missiles. The campaign has published two videos. One shows a man walking with his son and looking up at the sky, with a voiceover saying: “Lift your head up to the sky and you will see what your support has become — an unmanned aerial vehicle.” Text at the end of the video adds, “Help the ‘Price of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Project,’” and gives details for donations. The second video seeks donations to fund the purchase of missiles, asking viewers to “support the ‘Price of a Missile Project’” and shows clips of recent Hezbollah operations against Israel. The video also shows the association’s donation box, which is modeled on the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. The Islamic Resistance Support Association is Hezbollah’s fundraising branch. Founded in 1989, the association is regularly promoted on Hezbollah’s television channel Al-Manar TV.

Israeli Defense Ministry Triples Budget for PTSD Therapy: The Israeli Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that in light of the war in Gaza, it is tripling its budget for organizations that offer therapy to soldiers in order to help prevent or reduce post-traumatic stress disorder. The ministry’s Rehabilitation Department estimates that some 8,000 of the soldiers it will be treating by the end of the year may be dealing with PTSD, depression, anxiety, difficulties returning to civilian life, and other such problems. The ministry’s 2024 budget for this issue will be 6 million shekels, and the budget increase is intended to expand services for both conscripts and reserve soldiers. The support given by these organizations involves individual or group therapy for soldiers who are not in the process of being recognized as disabled veterans.
