IDF Spokesman: 98th Division Continuing Jabalya Operations, Commando Brigade Joins Fighting in Eastern Rafah: In Thursday evening press briefing, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari discussed IDF operations in Gaza, stating that troops are fighting” in “dense areas where Hamas operatives are entrenched both above and below ground.” The 98th Division is continuing its operation in Jabalya in northern Gaza, killing and capturing terrorists and finding and attacking dozens of rocket launchers, including launchers for long-range rockets. Noting that Sderot came under rocket fire in the past few days, he emphasized that the IDF is continuing to act “against any rocket fire from the Gaza Strip and on any intelligence information we know about that involves rockets, from the air and from the ground.” Moving to IDF operations in southern Gaza, Hagari stated that in eastern Rafah, the Commando Brigade, whose expertise is in fighting in dense areas and carrying out targeted raids, has joined the fighting. He noted that the army is continuing to focus on destroying tunnels and tunnel shafts, adding that it is also destroying other terrorist infrastructure, finding weapons, and killing terrorists.

98th Division Expands ‘Operational Control’ in Jabalya Area; IAF Stikes Some 60 Gaza Targets: On Friday, the IDF reported that the 98th Division has expanded “operational control” in the Jabalya area in northern Gaza and that Israeli Air Force fighter jets and drones struck a weapons depot and killed a number of terrorists who fired mortars at them earlier. In southern Gaza, troops from the 162nd Division’s 401st Armored Brigade destroyed a rocket launcher in eastern Rafah used to fire long-range rockets. In the past day, the IAF struck some 60 targets in Gaza, including military buildings, terrorist squads, weapons depots, and anti-tank launching posts. On Thursday, the IDF stated that during operations by the 401st Armored Brigade in Rafah, women soldiers from the 414th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit used drones to locate and destroy rocket launchers that were loaded and ready to fire long-range rockets. The reports include a video showing a drone strike on a launcher.

IDF and Shin Bet Confiscate Terrorist Funds and ‘Technological Equipment’ in West Bank: The IDF says that security forces last night interrogated a large number of suspects and confiscated terrorist funds in their possession as part of the army and the Shin Bet’s expanded operation to confiscate such funds as well as “technological equipment.” They also seized documents and a large amount of equipment. In addition, as part of the operation, undercover Border Police officers eliminated three terrorists in the Tulkarem area who had planted explosives. The troops also shot at several other gunmen in Tulkarem and Kalkilya and arrested two. The report includes photos and two videos with footage of the operation.

Kerem Shalom and Erez Crossings Open, 365 Aid Trucks Enter Gaza on Thursday: In a Thursday update, the IDF stated that both the Kerem Shalom crossing and the Erez crossing are open, and 365 trucks with humanitarian aid entered Gaza through the two crossings yesterday. On Wednesday, 76,000 liters of fuel for the UN World Food Programme entered the strip. The Tarqumiyah and Beitunia crossings in the West Bank are also open “to expand inspection procedures of humanitarian aid trucks going into Gaza.” This is the first time they have been open since the war began. The IDF also stated that hundreds of tents purchased by Israel for people evacuating from Rafah to the Al-Mawasi humanitarian area entered Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing. COGAT, the Israeli entity coordinating humanitarian aid for Gaza, announced on Thursday that the Al-Amal Hospital, Indonesian Hospital, and Kamal Adwan Hospital, all of which Hamas used for its operations, are now treating patients.
