Yishai Schwartz

Yishai Schwartz is an Associate Editor at Lawfare, the Brookings Institution’s national security law resource. Previously, Yishai was a reporter-researcher at The New Republic, where he authored dozens of articles on legal affairs, national security, and the Middle East. He has been a full-time research fellow with the Tikvah Fund, where he focused on ethics in war and philosophies of legal interpretation, and interned with the New Orleans Public Defenders. He holds a BA from Yale with majors in philosophy and religious studies. (This bio is current to when the participant joined FDD’s National Security Network.)
