Xavier Underwood

Xavier Underwood is the creative director and policy aide for U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s Subcommittee on Africa & Global Health Policy. Previously, Underwood was the head of production for the country’s largest minority-owned broadcast television company, Howard Stirk Holdings. During this time, he accrued over 200 TV credits as a director and producer while working chiefly with members of Congress and heads of state. Underwood was also creative director for Her Excellency Ambassador Audrey Marks, Jamaican Ambassador to the U.S. Prior to this, he was the director of social media for U.S. Housing & Urban Development Secretary Benjamin Carson and deputy director of advance for Carson’s 2016 presidential campaign.
