Biography

Thea Dunlevie is an editor and analyst focused on the Middle East. She previously worked at the Center for Maritime Strategy (CMS), a maritime security think tank near Washington, DC, where she was a senior analyst for trans-Atlantic maritime security issues. Prior to CMS, Thea worked as a research assistant for European Studies at the American Enterprise Institute; as a program coordinator in The Heritage Foundation’s Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom; and in various roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe.

She graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in international relations from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is currently completing her M.A. in Security Studies at Georgetown University.
