Stephen Howell is a U.S. Marine Corps Officer serving at the Pentagon in the Deputy Commandant for Information, Plans and Strategy Division. He has served in numerous career fields and has a wealth of experience covering over 18 years. Prior to his current assignment, he has served across the Marine Corps to include numerous combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, aboard the USNS Sisler, USS Denver and USS Ogden with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit to Iraq and also to the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operations, SPMAGTF-CR-CC in Baghdad and was an artillery battery commander in Hawaii. As Operations in the Information Environment Strategic Planner, he has participated in numerous high level planning exercises across the globe in support of Geographic Combatant Commands. He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree while on the Marine Corps Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP) at the University of Memphis.
