Biography
Shira Siegel is the Legislative Director for Representative Elaine G. Luria (D-VA). In addition to overseeing her legislative agenda and managing her policy team, Shira handles the national security portfolio, including the Congresswoman’s work on the House Armed Services Committee. Prior to joining Rep. Luria’s team, Shira worked in the office of Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Nita Lowey, handling defense, energy, and transportation policy. She has also worked for Congressman Mike Quigley. Shira graduated from the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, where she received her Bachelor’s degree with concentrations in global public health and African studies.
