Samantha Dwork is a special assistant to the chief of staff of the asylum division at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Prior to this role, she spent six years with the DHS Office of Strategy, Policy, and Plans, Office of International Affairs, where she led high-level negotiations and coordinated senior leadership engagement with Five Eyes and G7 nations, as well as Mexico, on critical issues including border security, immigration policy, transnational organized crime, and countering foreign interference. Sam began her career as a Presidential Management Fellow with DHS. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Maryland, where she was a Robertson Fellow for government service, and a B.A. in political science from the University of Florida.
