Robert Bair

Robert Bair is a Naval Officer assigned as a Secretary of the Navy Tours with Industry fellow at Splunk focusing on big data analytics and cybersecurity in the Internet of Things (IoT) markets. He recently completed an assignment at Joint Task Force Ares, the United States Cyber Command organization charged with countering ISIS operations in cyberspace. Previous assignments include the Cryptologic Warfare Group Six, Joint Interagency Task Force South, the Chief of Naval Operations Staff, and the Joint Information Operations Warfare Center deploying to Afghanistan in support of a Joint Special Operations Task Force. He began his career as a submarine officer completing several strategic deterrent patrols aboard the USS TENNESSEE. He holds a B.S. in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University, M.S. in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University, M.S. in Information Systems and Operations from the Naval Postgraduate School, and M.S. in Defense Technology and Systems from the National University of Singapore. He is former fellow at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and a term member in the Council on Foreign Relations.
