Robbie Sosa is the Lead Evening Assignment Editor for CBS New York and is responsible for the station’s breaking news coverage. Since joining the CBS New York team over a decade ago, he has covered such events like Super Storm Sandy, Miracle on the Hudson, the Chelsea Terror Bombings, the Coronavirus Pandemic lockdowns, and the 2020 New York City protests and riots. He is a three-time New York Emmy Award winner for breaking news and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Broadcasting at Arizona State University. Robbie is originally from Phoenix, Arizona and a former intern of Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Hedrick Smith. He currently lives in Nyack, New York.
