Kirsten Asdal

Kirsten Asdal is a China Risk Advisor at Asdal Advisory Group. She most recently led corporate consulting at the China-focused strategic advisory firm Garnaut Global. Kirsten formerly served as a surface warfare officer in the U.S. Navy and has deployed across the Asia-Pacific region. Her final active-duty assignment was to serve as an expert intelligence advisor for the secretary of defense’s “Red Team” at the Pentagon, providing adversary perspectives and wargaming to mitigate miscalculation and unanticipated consequences. Kirsten is a Mandarin speaker, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the University of Oxford, and a former Fulbright Fellow to Taiwan.
