Biography

JohnRoss Wendler is a U.S. Air Force officer and a Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Prior to his current assignment, JR was an Air Force Fellow at George Mason University, researching disinformation and its effects on social media. His experiences include planning and executing global operational missions, working with foreign militaries, and communication research. JR is a senior-rated evaluator pilot with over 3,000 hours and extensive combat experience in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and North Africa. He commissioned at Iowa State University, obtaining a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. JR holds Master’s Degrees in Aerospace Science and Strategic Communications.
