John Field

Major John Field is a U.S. Air Force Officer serving as a Defense Fellow on Capitol. Prior to this assignment he served as Deputy Director of Global Readiness at the 618 Air Operations Center. John’s primary job is a mobility instructor and evaluator pilot where he has amassed over 3,700 flying hours in the C-17, C-20, and C-37 including over 1,200 combat hours. He has served in Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM and multiple humanitarian relief and contingency operations throughout South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. John received his commission through the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) at Montana State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree. His Master’s degree is from the American Military University.
