Jay Kramer

Jay Kramer is Director of Public Affairs at Citadel. Before joining Citadel, Jay served as Executive Director of the American Opportunity Alliance, providing strategic guidance and analysis to Alliance members. He has previously served as counsel to a member of the House Appropriations Committee, where he advised the Congressman on several issues, including national security, immigration, and criminal justice issues. He also served as counsel to a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee. In addition to his legislative experience, Jay has worked on political campaigns across the local, state, and national levels. Jay earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University, where he graduated with honors. While in law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy. In addition to his private sector and political experience, Jay serves as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve, recently completing a deployment to the CENTCOM AOR. While deployed, he served as the Director of Intelligence for a Naval Special Warfare Task Force responsible for the Arabian Peninsula.
