Emma McCarthy is one of the first women in the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Submarine Force and is currently serving as the Flag Aide to the Chief of Naval Operations. In her previous command, she served as the Engineer Officer aboard USS Ohio (Blue) (SSGN-726) in Bangor, Washington. Upon her arrival to the USS Ohio, she effectively completed a Major Chief of Naval Operations Availability, returned USS Ohio to sea, and completed an arduous WESPAC Deployment. She has earned a B.S. in Ocean Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
