Biography
Emily Manning is the Foreign Affairs Specialist at the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of International Nuclear Security, where she holds the roles of Program Manager for Middle East and North Africa; Team Lead, Response; and Resilience Line of Effort, DOE/NNSA Ukraine Task Force. Emily served for nine years in the U.S. Congress, including as National Security Advisor for Senator Marsha Blackburn on the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senior Policy Analyst on the Indo-Pacific and State Department oversight for the majority offices of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Senior Legislative Assistant for Congressman Curt Clawson on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Emily is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a BA in Mandarin Chinese and Global Trade and Commerce, and of the U.S. Naval War College with an MA in Defense and Strategic Studies with a concentration in Information Operations.
