David Wilezol

David Wilezol is the founder and president of Seventh Floor Strategies, a Washington, D.C. ghostwriting and strategic communications firm specializing in national security, defense, and international issues. David is also a Senior Fellow for U.S. Foreign Policy at the American Foreign Policy Council. From 2017-2021, David served as Chief Speechwriter to the Secretary at the U.S. State Department. Prior to his State Department service, David wrote for Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus. A graduate of American University (B.A., History) and The Catholic University of America (M.A., Latin; Graduate Certificate, Ancient Greek), David started his career as a writer and radio producer for former U.S. Secretary of Education Bill Bennett. He has previously been a Claremont Institute Publius Fellow (2012) and Speechwriting Fellow (2017).
