Daniel R. Green

Daniel R. Green is a Soref Fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy where he conducts research on Yemen, al-Qaeda, counter-insurgency, and stability operations.  His prior experiences include service with the U.S. Department of State (DOS) as the Political Advisor to the Tarin Kowt Provincial Reconstruction Team in Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan; he subsequently served as the ISAF Joint Command Liaison Officer to the U.S. Embassy’s Office of Interagency Provincial Affairs in that country. Daniel also worked with the U.S. Navy in Fallujah, Iraq, where he served as a Tribal and Leadership Engagement Officer. He writes a monthly column on Irregular Warfare for Armed Forces Journal.
