Claire Chu

Claire Chu is a Senior Analyst at RWR Advisory Group. She specializes in the geopolitical and national security implications of Chinese commercial activity and engagement. Claire launched RWR’s Belt and Road Monitor in 2017, which provides a comprehensive biweekly overview of China’s overseas trade and investment activities. She is also the lead researcher on RWR’s “capital markets initiative,” identifying U.S. investor exposure to risky Chinese companies. Claire previously held research roles at the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS) in Berlin, Project 2049 Institute in Arlington, and the Center for the National Interest in Washington, DC. She completed her undergraduate studies at the School of International Service at American University, with a focus on foreign policy and national security.
