Major Chris Sweitzer is a U.S. Army Officer serving as a congressional budget liaison in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management & Comptroller where he coordinates Army engagements with the House and Senate Appropriations Committees. Chris previously served as an Army Congressional Fellow in the office of former Senator Mark Pryor of Arkansas. Chris is a Civil Affairs officer that deployed as part of the “surge” to both Iraq and Afghanistan where he supported counterinsurgency operations while working closely with interagency partners. Chris is a graduate of the George Washington University, where he received a Master’s degree in Legislative Affairs. Chris also holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from the University of Tennessee, and has completed over twenty hours of graduate study at the Naval Postgraduate School in his pursuit of a Master’s degree in Global Public Policy.
