Chris Cook is a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Appropriations Committee Subcommittee on Homeland Security where he is responsible for conducting oversight on the intelligence and cybersecurity activities of the Department of Homeland Security. Prior to joining the Senate Appropriations Committee, he served as the East Front Manager for the 58th Presidential Inauguration supporting the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. His previous roles in Congress include serving as a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Budget Committee, and various roles in the President George W. Bush Administration to include Deputy Associate Director for Legislative Affairs in the Office of Management & Budget. He currently serves as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Chris is a graduate of the Defense Acquisition University, received his Master’s degree from the College of Naval Command and Staff at the U.S. Naval War College, and a Bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University.
