Francis Murphy is a U.S. Air Force Fellow at the National Nuclear Security Administration, a semi-autonomous organization within the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to his current assignment, Francis was the Aircraft Programming Branch Chief at Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command, where he was responsible for strategic master planning, programming and requirements for the B-1, B-2, B-21, B-52, MH-139 and UH-1. He is also a senior-rated C-17A Instructor Aircraft Commander with experience in tactical, strategic and executive airlift operations across all six U.S. Unified Combatant Commands. He completed his studies in Economics at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and commissioned through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
