Charles Morrison

Charles Morrison serves as Military Legislative Assistant to Rep. Mike Gallagher, where he concentrates on naval affairs and long-term strategic competition. Prior to joining Rep. Gallagher’s office, he worked on defense and national security issues in the private sector. He began his career on the defense team at the American Enterprise Institute, where he focused on defense spending and strategy. His writing has appeared widely, including in The Weekly Standard, Real Clear Defense, Breaking Defense, and the Taiwanese Ministry of National Defense’s Defense Security Brief. He also contributed to the research and drafting of the Congressionally-mandated 2014 National Defense Panel report. Charles graduated from Tufts University in 2011 and holds an M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
