Brigid Calhoun

Brigid Calhoun is a U.S. Army Military Intelligence Officer and a Joint Chiefs of Staff Intern at the Pentagon. She is currently pursuing a Master’s of Policy Management at Georgetown University. She graduated with honors from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 2011, where she was co-captain of the women’s lacrosse team. She has deployed twice to Afghanistan: first with 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment and then with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). She graduated in the top 5% of her class in the Maneuver Captains’ Career Course before moving to Italy for four years. There, she served in the 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), and completed her tour as commander of the Military Intelligence Company. She has worked with numerous NATO allies and partners across Europe and the Middle East. She most recently served in the Pentagon as a Foreign Intelligence Watch Team Chief for the U.S. Army G-2. She has been published in The Strategy Bridge, Infantry Magazine, and Armor Magazine.
