Biography

Brad Humphreys is a Trial Attorney in the Federal Programs Branch of the Department of Justice where he serves as lead counsel defending against a wide range of challenges to various statutes, regulations, and administrative decisions. Brad develops the Government’s defensive strategy, drafts briefs, and argues cases in federal court. He additionally provides legal advice to Government agencies, including the Departments Health and Human Services, Labor, Treasury, and State. Previously, Brad clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Brad earned his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from the University of Chicago, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the law review.
