Ronald Meets the Donald

President Reagan wasn’t enthusiastic about détente with the Moscow-based Communist empire. He wanted a decisive end to the Cold War which he summed up in four words: “We win, they lose.” A strategy was developed, and the goal was achieved.

Today, a Beijing-based Communist empire has arisen. The anti-American regimes in Moscow, Tehran, and Pyongyang are aligned with the People’s Republic of China in what should be seen as a new Cold War.

Matthew Kroenig and Dan Negrea have written a book on the strategy necessary if the U.S. is to prevail: “We Win. They Lose: Republican Foreign Policy and the New Cold War.” It’s based on a fusion which might be summarized as Ronald Meets The Donald. They join host Cliff May to discuss.
