Terrorist Murders Israeli Policewoman in Jerusalem Who Immigrated from U.S.

An Israeli policewoman who immigrated from the United States was stabbed to death by a teenage Palestinian in Jerusalem on November 6. The attack, outside an Arab school near Herod’s Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City, came amid widespread intelligence alerts in Israel that the Gaza war could fuel terrorism elsewhere.

Ross Elisheva Rose Ida Lubin, a 20-year-old Border Police sergeant, suffered fatal wounds in the stabbing, while a second Border Police officer was lightly hurt. A third officer shot dead the 16-year-old terrorist, a resident of Issawiya in eastern Jerusalem. Police were investigating whether he was a pupil in the nearby school or had any accomplices. His attack was not immediately claimed by any Palestinian faction.

According to the police, Lubin immigrated to Israel alone from the United States and lived in Kibbutz Saad, one of the communities on the Gaza periphery whose residents were forced to shelter from Hamas marauders on October 7.
