Biography
Ola Nayyef is a Senior National Security Consultant for the Department of Defense, conducting Cyber Operational Planning for the U.S. Army’s Cyber Command. Prior to working as a consultant, Ola was a Cyber Threat Branch Chief for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, leading the department’s Intelligence Manager of analysis and assessments of threats. She advised the Secretary of Energy and other U.S. Government policy-makers. Ola was also a key member in the Intelligence Integration Branch of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s National Targeting Center in Sterling, Virginia. During her tenure in CBP, Ola created the Counterterrorism Incident Response Team’s strategy. Utilizing her experience with the Defense Intelligence Agency’s General Counsel, she assisted multiple investigative efforts of high profile cases for CBP. While working with DIA, Ola provided direct support to the Commanding General of the Joint Special Operations Command during Operation Inherent Resolve in the Middle East. She began her career in the Intelligence Community as an interpreter for the U.S. Army Special Forces in Baghdad, Iraq, working with General (Ret) David Petraeus, former US Ambassador Mr. Ryan Crocker, the FBI’s Major Crimes Task Force-Iraq, and the U.S. Air Force. Ola is currently an aspiring law student. She intends to pursue a specialty in National Security.
