FDD mourns the loss of Congressman Tom Lantos

“Congressman Tom Lantos’ untimely passing is a great loss to America and to those around the world who care deeply about human rights, democracy, and decency,” said Cliff May, FDD's President.

“We are grateful for the goodness that he inspired, for the courage he exhibited in standing up for those less fortunate no matter their race, religion or gender, and for his years of principled and bipartisan leadership,” noted FDD's Executive Director Mark Dubowitz.  “He was a voice of moral authority that will be sorely missed.
