Siddhartha Velandy

Siddhartha M. Velandy is a Major in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.  While on active duty, Siddhartha most recently served as legal advisor to the Commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command, where he provided comprehensive counsel on a diverse portfolio including military justice, operational law, and international, intelligence, and cyber-law matters.  His previous assignments include a tour at the Pentagon as Special Assistant to the Counsel for the Commandant of the Marine Corps, and an operational tour as Executive Officer, 1st Battalion, 2d Marines, in al Anbar, Iraq.  Siddhartha is a graduate of Harvard Law School, and his work on the impact of the Defense Department’s innovation and investment in clean and efficient energy technology on national security and international relations has been published in the Harvard National Security Journal and The Diplomat.
