Biography

Commander Shaun Lynch is a U.S. Navy Officer and test pilot currently serving at the Navy International Programs Office. As an SH-60B helicopter pilot he was assigned to Atsugi, Japan, where he deployed in support of operations in Iraq and the Philippines. He also spent a year deployed to Afghanistan aboard an airborne reconnaissance aircraft in support of special operations forces conducting counter-terrorism operations. He has tested and managed upgrades to the Navy’s MH-60 helicopters while serving at the Navy’s rotary wing test squadron and the MH-60 helicopter program office. Most recently he served as the Defense Fellow for Congresswoman Kay Granger of Texas. He has earned a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Naval Postgraduate School, and is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School.
