Samantha Weinberg

Biography

Samantha Weinberg is the Regional Development Director at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

Samantha has held multiple positions as FDD, to include managing projects for FDD’s Israel Program and serving as director of programs for FDD’s National Security Network. She has been responsible for a wide array of capacity-building projects, to include running exclusive roundtable discussions with key stakeholders, senior government officials, and foreign diplomats. Further, she has served in a leadership role with FDD’s National Security Trips to Israel that engage the next generation of U.S. national security leaders.

Prior to FDD, Samantha worked as a research associate for the Endowment for Middle East Truth (EMET), and interned for Representative Peter King in the House of Representatives, as well as for Ambassadors Ron Prosor and Michael Oren in Israel. Samantha lived in Israel for seven years where she served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as a liaison officer to Jordan. She earned a master’s degree in government, counterterrorism, and homeland security with a certificate in cyber terrorism and security and a bachelor’s degree in government, diplomacy, and strategy, both from Reichman University in Israel.
