Sam Spector

Biography

Sam Spector has been majority counsel with the Energy and Commerce Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives for over five years, where he works on issues related to energy and public health. Prior to Capitol Hill, Sam was an associate at a New York law firm as well as a Middle East analyst on contract to the Office of the Secretary of Defense. A Fulbright fellow, Sam graduated from Princeton University with an AB in Politics, and holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.  He contributed a chapter on the international legal dimensions of the Western Sahara dispute to the book, Perspectives on Western Sahara: Myths, Nationalisms, and Geopolitics (Lanham, MD: Rowman & Littlefield, 2013).
