Reza Nasim Jan

Reza Nasim Jan is a Research Analyst and the Pakistan Team Lead for the Critical Threats Project of the American Enterprise Institute. His research focuses on the Taliban insurgency, terrorism, the Pakistani military, and broader issues of security in Pakistan. He has traveled extensively in northwest Pakistan, including the Swat valley and Peshawar as part of field research on military operations and Taliban activity in the region and has interviewed senior Pakistani military officers, politicians, government officials, journalists and local leaders. He has conducted several media briefings in public and private on military operations in northwest Pakistan. (This bio is current to when the participant joined FDD’s National Security Network.)
