Major Rebecca A. DeForest is a U.S. Army Aviation and Logistics Officer currently serving as a legislative liaison at the Programs Division of the Office of the Chief, Legislative Liaison.  She recently completed a year of service as a defense fellow for Congressman Michael R. Turner (OH-10), working on the National Defense Authorization Act, foreign relations, and the national security portfolio.  Her fourteen years of military experience include a combat aviation deployment in Iraq, service as a National Guard and Reserve officer, as well as positions as a Defense Department Civilian and as a defense industry professional.  Rebecca graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and from The George Washington University with a Master’s Degree in Legislative Affairs.  She also holds a master’s certificate in federal contracting and acquisition.
