Biography
Michael Lipin is a Multimedia Journalist with 23 years of experience as a Writer, Reporter, News Editor and Producer/Host of radio and TV shows, he covers foreign policy and international affairs for VOA digital and broadcast platforms as a Bridge Editor and Correspondent. Based in Washington D.C., he has been on multiple assignments in Israel, where he interviewed senior political and military figures about Israel-Iran tensions, and where he covered Israel’s April 2019 Knesset election and the visits of then US President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence to Jerusalem, Israel’s US-recognized capital, in 2017 and 2018. Michael also wrote and produced a first-of-its-kind video documentary series for VOA, ‘Persians of Israel’, featuring his interviews with Israel’s most prominent Persians, who talk about overcoming challenges as members of an ethnic minority to achieve success in Israeli society, and about building bridges with their fellow Persians in Iran despite its long-running conflict with Israel. Prior to VOA, Michael was a Journalist for TV and radio networks in Hong Kong, including CNN International. Michael holds a Master’s in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.
