Biography

Major Michael Kingry is an Air Force HH-60G Combat Search and Rescue pilot who is currently serving in a Legislative Fellowship with Congressman Rob Bishop from Utah’s 1st Congressional District.  Maj Kingry received his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in 2004.  He attended Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot training at Naval Air Station Whiting Field, Florida and then Ft. Rucker, Alabama.  He has held a variety of flying positions to include HH-60G instructor pilot and flight examiner, Weapons Officer and Weapons School Instructor.  Maj Kingry has operational experience in Air Combat Command and Pacific Command as well as seven combat tours in both Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM.  While deployed he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross with Valor as well as 23 Air Medals.  He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Weapons School and later returned to the institution to instruct future Air Force Weapons Officers.
