Michael Brewer

Michael Brewer is an active duty U.S. Naval officer serving as a Congressional Affairs liaison for the U.S. joint command Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) where he manages legislative strategies and advises senior leadership on potential legislative impacts to JIEDDO and DoD priorities for Counter-Terrorism and the defeat of the terrorist weapon of choice. Michael previously served as a Navy Congressional Defense Fellow assigned to Representative K. Michael Conaway (R-TX). Michael is a Surface Warfare Officer and has been deployed several times over his naval career, supporting a variety of missions in the Middle East, Pacific, Africa, and Central America regions. Michael is a graduate of the U.S. Naval War College, where he received a Master’s Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies with a focus on Counter-Insurgency, and has a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Colorado at Boulder in Political Science.
