Biography

Lawrence Muscant is senior vice president at FDD. As a Middle East analyst and speechwriter, Lawrence lectures often on Iran, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and Middle East history to audiences across the globe.

Previously, Lawrence served as executive director at The David Project, a research organization in Boston focused on Israel and the Middle East. He taught the Arab-Israeli conflict course at both UMass Amherst and at Boston University. Lawrence was also invited by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help consult on their branding campaign.

Lawrence received his BA in Political Science from Concordia University and also graduated from its School of Community and Public Affairs. He received his MA in Political Science from Carleton University, where his focus was international relations theory and the Middle East. Lawrence was a PhD candidate at Carleton, where his research focused on American foreign policy in the Middle East.
