Kamil Bahadar is a U.S. Naval officer serving in the Naval Research Laboratory as the Military Deputy for the Naval Center for Space Technology. As a naval aviator with eight years of service flying the MH-60S Helicopter, he has deployed to the 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleet Area of Operations in support of Operations Freedom’s Sentinel and Operation Inherent Resolve. Kamil also completed multiple detachments, including one on the USS GERALD R. FORD (CVN-78) and at the Combined Air Operations Center, Al-Udeid Airbase, Qatar. Before his current tour, he served as a Defense Congressional Fellow to a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Kamil is multi-lingual, being fluent in English, Pashtu, and Urdu. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the California Maritime Academy.
