Ian Hurdle

Ian Hurdle is a U.S. Air Force officer serving in the Secretary of the Air Force’s International Affairs office as the Chief of Strategy and Policy. Ian is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, a prior T-6 instructor pilot, B-1 Bomber pilot, and C-12 pilot. He was selected to take part in the Mike Mansfield Fellowship working in various areas of the Japanese government gaining an intimate perspective and understanding of America’s closest ally in the Pacific. Following his fellowship, he worked as the Air Force security cooperation’s officer in the Philippines overseeing bilateral air operations between the U.S. and the Philippines military forces coordinating various training exercises while aiding in disaster relief and counterterrorism efforts. Following his tenure in the Philippines, he flew for the U.S. Military Training Mission in Saudi Arabia supporting bilateral efforts in the region.
